Music originated with God (James 1:17, Job 38:7) and is a powerful vehicle for communicating the content of the heart and bringing unity and harmony in thought and purpose. Although our very best efforts pale in comparison to the music of heaven, it is still a very important element of worship which warrants only the highest quality and faithful integrity (2 Samuel 24:24b) to our Creator. Without purified character we cannot produce pure music (Malachi 3:3).

[Music] rightly employed, it is a precious gift of God, designed to uplift the thoughts to high and noble themes, to inspire and elevate the soul... It is one of the most effective means of impressing the heart with spiritual truth.
